About the tournament
A Legacy of 18 Years
Honoring the vision of Milenko Jerković

Who was Milenko Jerković?
The “Milenko Jerković” International Memorial Tournament is one of the longest-running youth football tournaments in this part of Europe. It was established in memory of Milenko Jerković, one of the founders of NK Tomislav — the football club on whose pitches the tournament takes place. The main organizer is Milenko's son, who, with the dedicated support of his family, runs the event every year. Both the football club and the tournament were founded to encourage children to take up sports and to scout young talents, serving as a stepping stone toward their future success.
Founded in 2009, the tournament has traditionally been held every year since. It is one of the few tournaments that continued uninterrupted even during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that its tradition remained unbroken. What started as a small local competition with just four teams has evolved into an international spectacle, now gathering 32 teams from across Europe. Every year, young footballers from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, and other countries — and even from as far as China — come to showcase their skills and compete for the championship title.
